Jeanne O'Connell | Director / Choreographer

Jeanne has had an impressive and extensive career in the entertainment industry. From performer and instructor to choreographer and director, she has worked in all areas. In her early career, she performed in the Broadway/National Touring companies of 42nd Street, traveled the country in many Actors Equity productions of shows such as Sweet Charity, Joseph, and Singing in the Rain, and danced with and/or taught celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Christina Applegate, and Gene Kelly. In addition, Ms. O'Connell has appeared on screen in television and movies, "disappeared" as a magician's assistant, and danced in multiple shows at Disneyland.

After her performing career, Jeanne transitioned to dance teacher, personal coach, choreographer and director.  Although she works with professional theatres around the country, she focuses much of her energy right here in the community by working with local junior high and high schools, Magical Starlight Theatre, and The Studios Performing Arts.  She combines her experience and professionalism, along with her passion and energy, to create a safe yet challenging atmosphere to allow the students and performers to excel and reach personal goals. Jeanne is excited to work with The Studios Performing Arts and all of the aspiring performers.
